Backpack vacuum cleaners offer dramatic advantages over either traditional upright or canister cleaners. Back pack vacuums also increase one’s ability to reach out of the way and difficult to reach areas because one is not dragging or pushing a cumbersome floor machine around. A portable vacuum in a backpack frame weighs only 10 lbs on average and the straps are padded. the comfort level is the same as carrying a light book bag or day back. They do great work on concrete, wood and carpeted floors. Initial price point is about the same as conventional vacuums.
